Episode 6 of my irregular photo journal - All strings attached

I’m fairly certain there is not a single person who has not been affected by the events of the last two years. Maybe with the exception of the Sentinelese. Well, this episode is about two musicians. I’ve met them roughly eighteen months ago through a friend of my wife. They too have felt the restrictions heavily, since all of the concert halls have been closed for so long and they have had a hard time performing at all. It was the annual neighbourhood grape harvest where I’ve heard them perform for the first time. A lovely and tiny gathering of a few people from Letná in Prague coming to have a nice evening, listen to live music and taste some wine. I posted about it on my Instagram here.

Recently I got invited to one of their outings in a tiny theatre in a local café. The atmosphere and the music were just wonderful. My cheek muscles were actually in pain because I was just constantly smiling and enjoying the music. The setup is super simple as well as incredibly hard to master. They only use two instruments for their entire repertoire. A violoncello and a harp. And that is enough for them to perform anything from classics to 20th-century movie soundtracks, folk songs and classic rock ballads.

I really hope to get to follow them around for a bit longer. Not just for the images as I am craving a good photography project nowadays, but even just for the music.

Here’s a selection of my favourite clicks from the said evening:
